In 2020, in the United States, about 18.6 million (25.5%) children under the age of 18 lived either with their mother or father only. Studies have shown that when both parents are involved in early education, the child is more likely to perform better in school.
This is how Kid Link was developed. Kid Link is an app, Developed by Detroit Native Jessie Taylor. During the transition from Detroit To Dallas, it sparked an innovative idea.
“My name is Jesse Taylor. When I moved from Detroit to Dallas I didn’t realize how difficult it was going to be to stay engaged in my child’s learning. Reading together and helping with homework became a series of FaceTime calls and screenshots of their homework. I did some research to see if there were any apps designed specifically to help co-parenting parents like myself make the best choices for their kids’ education, but I couldn’t find anything. I have an MBA in Entrepreneurship and Innovation from Wayne State University, so I decided to think outside the box and create the app myself”
